"You can feel it in the soles of your shoes, can’t you? It slowly rises. A warning. An omen? No matter what you call it, it’s coming. You feel it at your knees now. Enduring, persistent, unstoppable. Your waist. As you stand, you allow your head to fall back, staring serenely up at the complex shades of white. You allow your hands to fall to your side, sinking below the water line. You hear voices, but do not respond.
-- From the remarkable mind of Matthew Reid comes Enduring Factitious Inundation, the brief next chapter in the ongoing story he shares with the world. –
The mind wanders. Names, places, events, but they’re unclear. There is meaning here. A picture, or a message. But what? And in the end, as the tidal wave drives the relentless flood, what good is meaning when the levees fell at your own hand? "
-words by Sean Stebner
The first 15 people to arrive will be given an original 3"x3" monster drawing (colored with home-made plant dyes) for free!

Beacon is a little out of the way, but super easy to get to (car or Metro North train out of Grand Central Station). Come hang out! Bring your friends! Let's all get to know one another, and have three wonderful hours together. I will draw you picture, give you hug, tell you story, and maybe you can do the same for me.
As an added little bonus, the night of the show, I am collecting coats/sweaters/etc for the New York Cares Coat Drive (http://www.newyorkcares.org)…. Anyone who brings something to donate will receive a small (but free) print of the insomnia monster. The print edition will be limited to that night only. Each will be signed and numbered. The prints have been (very generously) donated by my very good friends over at SugarHill Works. I can not thank them enough, so please check out their site and services.
I hope to see you there!
