April Showers

My dear friends,

If you have not heard, the wonderful Mosaic Gallery has closed its doors for the time being. That being said, there will be no solo show on April 27th.
As is the curious pattern of life, this comes at an interesting time. There are several personal projects that have been in the works for a while, and they can now become the focus of my attention.

I cannot express my gratitude for your undying support in all that I do. My deepest and sincerest thanks <3
Although trying to remain in the present, I am looking forward to the future, and am very excited to share these upcoming projects and adventures with you.

For now, it is time to detach, disappear temporarily, and take a step back from myself.

All the best, and much love.

MarchMadness begins!

Although my sleepless routine has already begun, March Madness starts tomorrow!!!
For those who are reading this for the first time, you can learn about it HERE.

The details:

Everyday at 12pm (noon, east coast time) an original ink drawing will be posted on FACEBOOK and TWITTER, created the sleepless night before, which you can buy in the STORE for $30.
There is only one per day for the month, so if you have ever been interested in owning my crappy work, March Madness is the best time!

Each drawing will be ink on 6" x 9" bristol board, signed and dated.

All the best!
<3

March Madness!

I can't believe another March is upon us! For those who are just tuning in, March is usually my busiest month, for some reason it always works that way. To add to the sleep-deprived craziness, two years ago, I started March Madness to keep myself from slipping into permanent insanity. Basically, I work from the early morning until way late at night. By that time, my eyes hurt from painting and illustrating all day and my brain is playing all kinds of tricks on my sanity. To calm these thoughts, I draw leisurely for a little while until the craziness subsides, and the sleep train comes and takes me on a three hour tour of dreamland. . . Then I wake up and do it again. Those "leisurely drawings" are the content for March Madness!!

Third month of the year = $30 drawings, one for every day of the month. If you have ever wanted a piece from me, now is the time!!!
Here is how it works: At 12pm (aka noon, east coast time!) I will post an ink drawing in the STORE. Each drawing will have been made the night before. It is good opportunity to buy crappy original artwork.
The best way to keep updated is FACEBOOK or TWITTER, where the link to that day's drawing will be posted.

unless...

Theodor Geisel happens to be a personal hero of mine, not sure that needed to be clarified. This stems way back to early childhood, when I first wanted to be an illustrator. Raised by two hippie parents, it's no surprise that The Lorax was one of my absolute favorite stories. So here is my humble tribute to the man and story which inspired me in so many ways, and a thank you to my mother and father who never discouraged me from following my childhood dream.
